SUPER BOWL CHAMPION HEATH MILLER TO HOST BID FOR HOPE VII

(Pittsburgh, PA.) – A Glimmer of Hope Foundation will present the seventh annual Bid for Hope on Monday, October 27, 2008 from 7:00 – 11:00 pm with Super Bowl Champion and Pittsburgh Steeler tight end, Heath Miller and his wife Katie hosting the star-studded event.

The Miller’s will take over for long- time supporters, Alan and Julie Faneca who plan to attend, as the cause still remains close to their hearts. The event will be held at Jerome Bettis’ Grille 36 on the North Shore.

Heath Miller and many of his invited teammates will begin the evening with an autograph signing from 7:00 to 8:00 pm. A silent auction will be held throughout the evening as well as a live auction of sports memorabilia that includes autographed Steeler Jerseys and team items along with other sport items.

Bob Pompeani, from KDKA, will serve as the “Special Guest Auctioneer.” All proceeds will benefit the A Glimmer of Hope Foundation—a Pittsburgh based non-profit organization which provides funding for the only Under 40 Breast Cancer study in the nation.

Tickets are $200 per person and include cocktails, hors d’ oeuvres and valet parking. In addition, each attendee will receive a specially designed gift bag that includes a white panel football for autographs.
