All proceeds from the concert directly benefit the Glimmer of Hope foundation which is dedicated to funding under-40 breast cancer research. |

The jerseys, along with a commemorative plaque will be displayed in the Breast Center waiting center to showcase Glimmer of Hope’s steadfast dedication to fighting breast cancer. |

Glimmer of Hope Foundation president, Diana Napper, Pittsburgh Steelers lineman Alan Faneca and his wife, Julie, will present the donation to MWRI officials at 9:30 a.m., Monday, Jan. 14, in the auditorium at Magee-Womens Hospital of UPMC, 300 Halket St., Oakland.

PITTSBURGH -- The sixth annual "Bid for Hope" charity auction, hosted by Pittsburgh Steeler Alan Faneca and his wife Julie, will be held on Monday, October 29 from 7 - 11 p.m. at the Jerome Bettis Grille 36 on the North Shore. Faneca and many of his invited teammates will start the evening off with an autograph session from 7-8 p.m. Throughout the rest of the evening a silent and live auction of sports memorabilia will take place. Bob Pompeani will serve as special guest auctioneer. All proceeds will benefit A Glimmer of Hope, a Pittsburgh-based non-profit organization that supports breast cancer research.

A GLIMMER OF HOPE FOUNDATION DONATES $100,000 TO MAGEE-WOMENS RESEARCH INSTITUTE PITTSBURGH -- A Glimmer of Hope, a Pittsburgh-based non-profit organization that supports breast cancer research recently made a donation of $100,000 to support breast cancer research at Magee-Womens Research Institute and Foundation. According to Deborah Linhart, president and CEO of MWRI's parent organization, Magee-Womens Research Institute & Foundation, Magee-Womens Research Institute has been at the forefront of research concerning health care for women since its inception, and this significant donation will help us search for new options for breast cancer patients. We are grateful that The Glimmer of Hope Foundation has shown such confidence in us.
